Teen idol Lohan, the star of Herbie Fully Loaded and upcoming Bobby, will play Dylan's wife Caitlin while Knightley of Pirates of the Caribbean fame, will play a childhood friend of the poet, Vera Phillips. 

The movie centres on the bizarre real-life attack on Dylan's home by Phillips and her husband William Killick, who reportedly opened fire with a machine gun and a grenade.

Filming on "The Best Times of Our Lives" is to start in April 2007.
